LALIGA and Chad partner to professionalize national football
Chad and the Spanish football organization LALIGA have entered into a multi-year strategic partnership to modernize and professionalize football within the Central African nation. The agreement was formalized at LALIGA’s headquarters in Madrid during a visit by Chadian Minister of Youth and Sports, Naïr Abakar.
The collaboration focuses on several key pillars: the launch of a nationwide talent identification campaign, the technical design and establishment of a National Football Academy, and specialized training for coaches, administrators, and club executives. Additionally, LALIGA will provide expertise to help structure Chad’s domestic league and improve its governance and marketing.
LALIGA President Javier Tebas stated that the organization will share its methodology while adapting the project to the specific requirements of Chadian football. The initiative aims to create a sustainable ecosystem that provides young players with better development opportunities and increases the competitiveness of the national league.
