Lam Dong province launches tourism drive for 2026 summer season
The central Vietnamese province of Lam Dong has rolled out new tourism products and a promotional campaign to attract visitors for the 2026 summer season. After merging with Dak Nong and Binh Thuan, the province now markets a "highlands‑forest‑sea" ecosystem that includes Da Lat, Mui Ne, Phu Quy Island and the UNESCO‑listed Dak Nong Global Geopark.
In the first half of 2026, Lam Dong recorded nearly 12 million visitors, an 18 % year‑on‑year rise, with international arrivals reaching 825,000. Tourism revenue topped 33.31 trillion VND (about US$1.28 billion), up more than 22 % from the previous year. The province hosts 4,295 accommodation establishments offering over 68,000 rooms, 126 travel agencies and 1,180 licensed guides.
The campaign, under the slogans "Lam Dong – Come to Love" and "People of Lam Dong – Experience Lam Dong Tourism," will feature events such as the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival, the Phan Thiet Whale Worship Festival, and the reopening of Lien Khuong International Airport on 19 August. Visitors like Nguyen Van Minh praised the mix of lake walks, night markets and cultural sites, while families highlighted farm tours and pine‑forest cafés.
