Lambayeque Court creates new sanction module for violence cases

The Lambayeque Court has announced the creation of a Sanction Module within the National Specialized Justice System (SNEJ) to address cases of violence against women and family members. This measure was approved by the Executive Council of the Judiciary via Administrative Resolution No. 000287-2026-CE-PJ.

César William Bravo Llaque, president of the Lambayeque Court, stated that the implementation will complete the judicial response to violence. Currently, specialized organs in the district primarily handle urgent protection measures, while the sanctioning phase is managed by common criminal courts. The new module is designed to provide specialized judicial responses to physical, psychological, and sexual violence, rather than relying solely on general criminal courts.
