Lamezia Terme launches €107k 'La mia estate' voucher scheme for youth inclusion
The Territorial Social Authority of Lamezia Terme is rolling out the "La mia estate" project, funded with €107,143.68 from the National Social Policies Fund. The scheme will provide vouchers worth up to €3,000 per young person aged 6‑19 to cover educational, recreational, sports and inclusion activities, with a focus on children and teenagers with disabilities. A public call has been issued for third‑sector organisations to join the provider list, after which families can apply for the vouchers.
In parallel, the city is hosting a free two‑day training programme called Intrecci – Abitiamo il Lametino on 20‑21 July. Aimed at social workers and professionals, the sessions cover rights, health, and anti‑antiziganism measures, strengthening competencies for assisting vulnerable groups. The training is supported by the Calabria Regional Programme (FESR 2021‑2027) and features speakers such as Regional Assessor Pasqualina Straface, Lamezia Terme Welfare Assessor Mimmo Gianturco, and inclusion expert Suzana Jovanovic.
