Lancia integrates with Fiat as new Gamma model debuts
Stellantis is restructuring the management of Lancia, integrating the brand more closely with Fiat to leverage synergies, scale, and efficiency under the FaSTLAne 2030 plan. Arnaud Belloni has assumed the role of CEO for Fiat, Abarth, and Lancia. While this integration involves increased sharing of platforms, engines, and electronic components, the company maintains that Lancia will retain its unique identity.
As part of this strategic shift, Lancia has unveiled the new Gamma, a 4.67-meter fastback crossover. Developed in Turin and produced at the Melfi plant in Italy, the Gamma will be available in both electric and hybrid versions, utilizing the STLA Medium platform. The hybrid model is expected to offer a total range exceeding 1,000 km. This move reflects a more pragmatic approach to electrification, balancing pure electric goals with market demand for hybrid technologies.
