Lancia launches Gamma premium SUV crossover
Italian automaker Lancia unveiled the Gamma, a mid‑size SUV‑coupé intended to reposition the brand in the premium segment. Built on Stellantis' STLA Medium platform, the vehicle measures 4.67 m long and shares design cues with the Ypsilon and the Peugeot 3008, including a distinctive front LED “T” signature and a floating C‑pillar.
The Gamma will be offered with a micro‑hybrid gasoline unit (145 hp) and three fully electric powertrains: a 230‑hp version with 540 km range, a 245‑hp version with 740 km range, and a 375‑hp all‑wheel‑drive model delivering 675 km of autonomy. Production will take place at Stellantis’ Melfi plant in Italy, with orders expected to open in the autumn after a summer pre‑order phase. Lancia aims to use the model to revive its historic premium image as the brand shifts under Fiat’s regional umbrella.
The interior features a digital 10.25‑inch instrument cluster, a 16‑inch central touchscreen, and premium materials such as leather‑fabric upholstery, ambient lighting, and a panoramic roof, reflecting Lancia’s push for a high‑end feel.
