Lando Norris extends McLaren contract until 2030

McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando Norris has extended his contract with the team until at least 2030. The 26-year-old British driver, who secured the 2025 World Championship, indicated that he is open to the possibility of spending his entire professional racing career with the Woking-based team.

Reports suggest the new agreement includes a significant salary increase, estimated at approximately 35 million euros, along with an option for further multi-year extensions beyond 2030. Norris stated during a press conference at the Italian Grand Prix that he sees no reason to leave, as he believes he can win more titles with McLaren.

In contrast, teammate Oscar Piastri has not yet committed to a long-term extension. While Piastri noted that he is currently well-provided for and that there is no immediate rush to begin new negotiations, his specific contract duration remains undisclosed following a previous multi-year extension. Piastri expressed confidence in the team's stability and its ability to return to winning form.
