Lando Norris extends McLaren contract until at least 2030
Lando Norris, the 2025 Formula 1 World Champion, has signed a long-term contract extension with McLaren to remain with the team until at least the end of the 2030 season. The agreement includes multi-year options to extend the partnership further. The announcement was made during an annual event at the team's Woking headquarters.
Norris, who joined McLaren's junior program in 2017 and made his F1 debut in 2019, has become the team's all-time record holder for Grand Prix starts. As part of the celebration, the team gifted him the MCL39, the car used during his championship-winning 2025 season. The extension provides stability for McLaren, whose driver lineup is also secured by Oscar Piastri, who is under contract until at least 2028.
In a separate announcement, it was revealed that Prime Video will produce a three-episode docuseries titled ‘Lando’, scheduled for release in 2027. Produced by Box to Box Films, the series will offer an intimate look at Norris's life both on and off the track, focusing on his personal experiences and the pressures of professional racing.
