Landslide damages National Highway 15C in Thanh Hoa

Heavy rainfall has caused a severe landslide on National Highway 15C in Thanh Hoa province, Vietnam. The landslide occurred at the Km54+030 mark in Kham 1 village, Trung Ly commune, affecting approximately 20 meters of the roadway.

The landslide has consumed one-third of the road surface, creating significant safety risks for commuters and vehicles. Authorities have noted signs of ground instability, suggesting a risk of further sliding that could expand the affected area and further restrict traffic.

Local authorities and the Department of Construction have inspected the site to assess the scope of the damage. To mitigate risks, traffic diversion measures have been implemented. Large vehicles, including trucks over 3.5 tons and passenger buses with 24 or more seats traveling from Hoi Xuan toward Muong Lat, are being redirected via National Highway 15 and Provincial Road 521 to ensure safety.
