Langenhagen shuts Langenhagener Street for water pipe replacement

From 6 July 2026 the section of Langenhagener Street between Hannoversche Straße and Alt‑Godshorn in Langenhagen will be completely closed to motorised traffic. The closure enables the installation of a new drinking‑water pipeline to secure and modernise the town’s water supply.

Drivers are advised to use alternative routes, as the detours are expected to increase traffic on nearby streets, especially during peak‑hour commuting. The municipality announced the early start of the works after being notified by the Garbsen‑Neustadt water association.

The temporary restriction will remain in place for the duration of the pipeline construction, with the aim of restoring full traffic flow once the project is completed.
