Langley shooting investigation: 23-year-old man killed in targeted attack

A 23-year-old man, identified by sources as Jeevan Johal, was shot and killed in a luxury vehicle outside a business complex near the Cactus Club in Langley on the night of October 5, 2026. The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. in the 6000-block of 200 Street. Despite efforts by first responders, the victim died at the scene.

Approximately 20 minutes after the shooting, police responded to a vehicle fire near 75 Avenue and 232 Street. Investigators believe a burnt sedan recovered from that location was used in the homicide and was intentionally set alight to destroy evidence. Preliminary findings from the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) suggest the shooting was a targeted incident.

Authorities are currently canvassing the area for witnesses and requesting dashcam footage from anyone who was near the shooting or the arson scene between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
