Poland signs 47 billion submarine contract with Sweden's Saab

Poland has agreed to purchase a fleet of submarines from Swedish defence contractor Saab in a deal valued at roughly 47 billion. Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson highlighted that the contract is expected to generate thousands of jobs in Sweden, reinforcing the economic and strategic significance of the agreement.

The procurement strengthens Poland's naval capabilities while providing a major boost to Saab’s production line and the broader Swedish defence industry.
