Laos begins song selection for Eurovision Asia 2026
Laos has commenced the selection process for its representative at the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026. In the two-part selection show titled ‘Sieng Lao: The One’, artist Thinla will perform three potential songs—“Bae”, “Star”, and “Water”—to be evaluated by a jury and public vote. The final decision will be based on a combination of 40% jury voting, 40% national televoting, and 20% international voting, with the results expected on October 24.
In related Eurovision news, North Macedonia and Portugal are scheduled to reveal their entries for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026. North Macedonia will debut the song ‘Idnata Jas’ by Ana Stojanoska. Additionally, tickets for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026, to be held in Ta’ Qali, Malta, are set to go on sale.
The Eurovision Asia 2026 contest is scheduled to take place on November 14 at the One Bangkok Forum, following updates from the European Broadcasting Union regarding the venue.
