Larissa Music School parents demand solutions for critical shortages
The Parents and Guardians Association of the Larissa Music School has issued formal requests to three institutional bodies: the Directorate of Secondary Education, the Municipality of Larissa, and the Thessaly Region. The association is seeking immediate action to address several critical issues affecting the institution.
Key concerns include significant educational gaps, specifically approximately 103 missing hours in music lessons, as well as shortages in general education subjects and a non-functional school library due to lack of staff. The association is also calling for the procurement of musical instruments that were promised by the Ministry of Education.
Regarding infrastructure, the parents highlighted long-standing problems with student catering, hygiene, facility safety, electrical installations, and general cleanliness. They are also requesting updates on the school expansion and the replacement of five prefabricated classrooms, a matter that has remained unresolved for approximately three years.
