Larissa parents protest hygiene shortages at large primary school

The Parents and Guardians Association of the 9th Primary School in Larissa has issued a formal protest regarding inadequate cleaning staff and a lack of basic hygiene supplies at the facility. As one of the largest schools in Greece, the institution serves approximately 440 students and 50 teachers daily.

The association reports that the current cleaning staff consists of only two individuals working six and three hours respectively, which they deem insufficient for a facility of this scale. Furthermore, the group highlighted a critical shortage of essential sanitary items, such as toilet paper, in the school bathrooms.

Demanding immediate intervention, the association has called upon the Municipality of Larissa and relevant authorities to provide permanent, adequate cleaning personnel and ensure a steady supply of necessary hygiene consumables to protect student health and maintain a safe environment.
