Larissa Region to Issue 2026 Disability Mobility Passes for Residents
Starting Wednesday, 1 July 2026, the Larissa regional authority will issue disability mobility passes for the 2026 calendar year, with applications accepted until 30 November 2026. The programme covers persons with a disability rating of 67 % or higher, including total blindness, who reside permanently in the Larissa regional unit.
Eligibility requires an annual personal income of up to €23,000 or a family income of up to €29,000, increased by €5,600 for each additional dependent. Applicants exceeding these limits may still qualify for a 50 % discount on KTEL intercity routes after deducting any disability benefits received from OPEKA. The passes also entitle a companion to travel with the beneficiary. Required documents include a completed application, the previous pass (if renewing), and a current medical certificate confirming the disability level or proof of OPEKA benefits.
The initiative aims to facilitate free or reduced‑cost public transport for eligible persons with disabilities and their companions throughout the region.
