Larsen & Toubro secures major energy contracts in Middle East

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured multiple major energy infrastructure contracts in the Middle East. The company’s renewables business won an order valued between ₹5,000 crore and ₹10,000 crore to develop three Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. These projects will provide a combined 6 GWh of storage capacity, utilizing liquid cooling technology to support grid stability and renewable energy integration. The scope includes battery facilities, grid interconnections, pooling substations, and underground cables.

Additionally, L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore has signed a contract for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of gas compression facilities for a client in the region. This project involves processing sour gas through new onshore installations and includes the execution of two 230 kV extra-high-voltage substations to meet power requirements.

In a related development, Technip Energies has been selected by L&T to provide detailed engineering services for a major ADNOC Offshore project in the United Arab Emirates. This contract, valued between €50 million and €250 million, supports the EPCIC of new offshore facilities and upgrades to existing infrastructure.
