Larvotto Resources commissions first ore crush at Hillgrove antimony mine in NSW

Larvotto Resources has processed the first batch of ore at its Hillgrove antimony‑gold project east of Armidale, New South Wales. The plant’s jaw crusher, secondary crushing circuit and fine‑ore storage are now operational, marking a defining commissioning milestone after a year of refurbishment.

The mine is projected to yield about 4,900 tonnes of antimony and more than 40,000 ounces of gold each year over a seven‑year life, with additional tungsten potential under test. Larvotto is seeking approval from the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure to double the plant’s throughput from 250,000 to 500,000 tonnes annually and to convert to dry‑stack tailings. The company reports ongoing dialogue with state, federal and foreign governments to position the operation as a key supplier of critical minerals to domestic and international markets.
