Las Bambas begins construction of cultural center in Choquecca Antío

Minera Las Bambas has commenced construction of a new cultural center in the Choquecca Antío community, located in the Tambobamba district of Cotabambas. The project involves an investment exceeding S/ 806,600.

The facility will span approximately 248 square meters and include a multi-purpose meeting room, administrative offices, and sanitary services. The construction is expected to be completed within 90 calendar days.

Work is being carried out by the local communal company Choquecca Antío, with supervision provided by the Asociación de Desarrollo Las Bambas. The initiative aims to strengthen sociocultural activities, promote community integration, and preserve local traditions while generating local employment and economic opportunities.
