Las Bambas community investment in Peru

Overview

Minera Las Bambas has initiated several community development projects in the Cotabambas region of Peru.

In the Choquecca Antío community of the Tambobamba district, the company began construction of a 248-square-meter cultural center. The project, costing over S/ 806,600, is being executed by the local communal company Choquecca Antío and is intended to facilitate sociocultural activities and preserve local traditions.

Additionally, the company provided educational materials, furniture, and play resources to the Cuna Jardín of the I. E. Fuerabamba. This initiative, coordinated with UGEL Cotabambas, aims to support early childhood development through the Project for the Strengthening of Regular Basic Education.
