Las Mojoneras authorities launch operation to capture crocodiles

Emergency services in Las Mojoneras are conducting an active operation to locate and capture two crocodiles to ensure public safety. The operation involves Civil Protection, Firefighters, Lifeguards, Municipal Police, and Environmental Sustainability personnel.

One of the crocodiles is described as being of considerable size. Authorities have faced difficulties in the capture attempts, with the reptiles escaping on at least three occasions. The mission is being supervised by Misael López Muro, director of Civil Protection and Firefighters.

The presence of the reptiles has caused significant concern due to the proximity of an elementary school. Officials aim to relocate the animals to a different area of their habitat before students return to classes to prevent potential incidents involving residents or minors.
