Las Vegas honors NASCAR champion Kyle Busch
Tributes are being organized in Las Vegas to honor the legacy of NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch following his death from pneumonia and sepsis earlier this year.
The Clark County Planning Commission is considering naming two roads within the Las Vegas Motor Speedway complex in his honor. Proposed names include ‘Busch Brothers Drive’, celebrating both Kyle and Kurt Busch, or ‘Rowdy Drive’, referencing Kyle’s well-known nickname.
Additionally, Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson announced he will run a special tribute livery on his No. 5 car during the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series race in Las Vegas. The scheme will feature the ‘Tiny Kyle’ branding, a nod to Busch, who also drove the No. 5 car during his debut years. Larson stated that running the scheme is a way to honor the driver he viewed as the best competitor in stock cars. A portion of the royalties from merchandise sold with the tribute design will be donated to the Kyle & Samantha Busch Foundation.
