Latam Airlines Brazil offers R$160,000 hiring bonus for new Embraer E195‑E2 pilots

Latam Airlines Brazil has launched a recruitment campaign for captains of the Embraer E195‑E2 jet, offering a one‑time signing bonus of R$160,000 per pilot. Applications opened on 8 June and remain open until 28 June through the carrier’s online career portal.

The incentive is part of Latam’s preparation to introduce up to 24 E195‑E2 aircraft – the first of a deal announced with Embraer in September 2025 for up to 74 jets valued at about US$2.1 billion – into domestic service in the fourth quarter of 2026. To broaden the pool, the airline temporarily suspended the requirement for an ICAO‑4 English proficiency certificate, allowing selected candidates to obtain the certification after hire.

Candidates must be Brazilian citizens, hold at least 5,000 flight hours (including 3,000 on jets) and 500 captain‑in‑command hours, possess a valid CMA and relevant type ratings, among other criteria. Latam employs more than 23,000 staff, including roughly 2,600 pilots, and operates at 62 airports across Brazil.
