Latam expands fleet, launches pilot talent pool and award‑winning app
Latam was named Brazil’s best airline in a Datafolha poll, with 43% of respondents choosing it, and its mobile app was voted the top airline app, attracting five million users and achieving a 70% usage rate. The carrier is preparing to receive Airbus A321XLR aircraft, each seating 170 passengers with a premium business cabin, and is investing R$115 million in a 4,700 m² Latam Lounge at Guarulhos Airport.
In parallel, Latam opened a talent bank for co‑pilots, inviting applications until 7 June. Applicants must be Brazilian, hold a commercial pilot licence, have at least 150 flight hours, and meet specific certifications; experience with Airbus A320 and Embraer E195‑E2 aircraft is a plus. The programme aims to staff the airline’s expanding fleet, which will include new Airbus A320‑family jets and Embraer E195‑E2 models slated for entry in late 2026.
