Latin American academic institutions host economic forums

Academic institutions in Latin America are hosting significant forums to discuss regional economic challenges. The Universidad Nacional de Moreno in Argentina is preparing for the V Congress of International Political Economy (CEPI). The event focuses on rethinking Latin America in the face of a breaking world order, decoupling, and disputes over hegemony.

Simultaneously, the Faculty of Economics at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) has inaugurated the Latin American School of Heterodox Economics (ELEH). Scheduled for September 2026, this initiative aims to bring together students and specialists to discuss critical perspectives of economic thought and the current social and environmental challenges facing the region.
