Latin American laboratories advance animal-free cosmetic safety testing

The organization Te Protejo has released a publication highlighting innovative methods for evaluating cosmetic safety in Latin America using animal-free methodologies. The report identifies over 20 laboratories across the region dedicated to alternative testing methods, positioning Latin America as a potential hub for research, development, and innovation in this field.

These scientific advancements are being driven by professionals in countries including Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, and Peru. The initiative aims to provide the cosmetic industry with robust, cost-effective, and rapid alternatives to traditional animal testing that align with international standards and increasing social demand for cruelty-free products.
