Latin music stars hold Miami benefit concert for earthquake relief
Latin music stars gathered at Miami’s Kaseya Center for 'Unidos por los Nuestros,' an international benefit concert and teletón to support victims of devastating earthquakes in Venezuela and Colombia. The event featured over one hundred performers, including Marc Anthony, Chayanne, Luis Fonsi, and Feid, to raise funds for emergency and long-term needs such as food, medical assistance, temporary shelter, and mental health services.
During the broadcast, the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) announced a direct donation of 500,000 dollars. The funds will be distributed by the Univision Foundation and Marc Anthony’s Maestro Cares Foundation, alongside organizations like All Hands and Hearts and World Central Kitchen.
In Colombia, Bogotá has mobilized significant resources to assist earthquake-affected regions, dispatching 1,174 tons of food, hygiene items, and habitat kits. The city is also providing technical support through 45 engineers and 18 Aqueduct officials, as well as a field hospital, 900 units of blood, and debris collection vehicles.
