Latina hosts eighth Pediatric Simulation Games for medical residents

The eighth edition of the Pediatric Simulation Games is set to take place in Latina, Italy, from September 2 to September 5. This international competition is designed for pediatric residents to acquire and consolidate updated skills in managing pediatric medical emergencies through high-level technical and scientific challenges.

Organized with the support of the Asl of Latina, the event was created by Riccardo Lubrano, head of Pediatrics and Neonatology at the Santa Maria Goretti Hospital and professor at Sapienza University of Rome. This year's edition will host 41 teams and over 300 participants from universities across Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, and Hungary.

The competition features more than 30 emergency scenarios, including cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, pneumonia, septic shock, and traumatic brain injury. Participants undergo intensive preparation before engaging in clinical scenarios followed by structured formative debriefings.
