Pediatric Simulation Games in Latina

Overview

The eighth edition of the Pediatric Simulation Games was held in Latina, Italy, from September 2 to September 5, 2026. Organized by Professor Riccardo Lubrano, the international competition aimed to help pediatric residents improve their skills in managing medical emergencies through high-level technical and scientific challenges.

The event involved over 300 participants from 41 teams representing universities in Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, and Hungary. Competitors faced more than 30 emergency scenarios, such as cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, septic shock, and traumatic brain injury.

Following the conclusion of the games, the University of Padua was named the winner. Professor Lubrano noted the high technical level of the teams and the increasing complexity of the clinical scenarios and training courses provided during the event.
