Latvian women's volleyball team heads to European Championship

The Latvian women's national volleyball team has departed for Istanbul to compete in the European Championship, marking their first appearance in the tournament's final stage since 1997.

Head coach Daniele Mario Caprioti has selected a 14-player roster for the competition. Following a recent warm-up match against Croatia, the squad is preparing to face a challenging group that includes Turkey, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, and Hungary. The team's first match is scheduled against the host nation, Turkey, on August 21.

Captain Paula Nečiporuka and Coach Caprioti expressed confidence in the team's preparation and morale. While the group is highly competitive, the team aims to remain competitive and secure victories within their group stage.
