Latvia to see warm temperatures and strong winds through weekend

The Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre forecast that the country will experience milder air masses in the coming days, with daytime temperatures rising to between +18 °C and +23 °C and a peak of +25 °C on Sunday. A cyclonic influence will bring a brief period of dry, calm weather on Sunday, while Friday will see strong westerly winds reaching 11–16 m s⁻¹, gusting up to 13 m s⁻¹ in some areas.

Rainfall will be limited, with only short‑lived showers expected in parts of the east and occasional thunderstorms. Nighttime lows will stay around +15 °C to +19 °C. The forecast also notes a new cyclone approaching early next week, bringing further rain and gusty winds across the nation.
