Latvia weather forecast: cooler start to week followed by warmth on election day

Weather conditions in Latvia are expected to shift as the new work week begins. According to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre, temperatures will initially decrease, with nighttime temperatures dropping to between +5 and +10 degrees Celsius in some regions. The start of the week will be characterized by cloudy skies and light rain in various areas.

For the Saeima election day on October 3, 2026, forecasters predict warmer and drier conditions. While cloud cover may increase from the west, the day is expected to clear up, particularly in the west by evening. Temperatures during the election are projected to reach between +15 and +20 degrees Celsius, with light winds expected across the country.

Looking further ahead, a new cyclone approaching from the west may bring more rain toward the end of the week, potentially increasing wind speeds along the coast.
