The Baltic region is expecting unsettled weather characterized by heavy rain and thunderstorms.
In Latvia, forecasts indicate widespread rain and potential thunderstorms. Temperatures are expected to range between +12 and +21 degrees Celsius. While some areas may see clearing skies and sunshine, wind gusts could reach up to 14 meters per second. Recent data from the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre showed significant rainfall in areas like Priekuļi, where levels reached 136% of the September norm.
In Lithuania, Gargždai is bracing for heavy rain and thunderstorms, particularly in the morning, with humidity levels reaching 87 percent. Across the rest of Lithuania, the weekend is expected to remain wet with intense rainfall and strong wind gusts of up to 20 meters per second in some regions. However, a shift toward higher pressure is anticipated for the following week, which is expected to bring more sunshine and calmer conditions.
