Latvia weather forecast: shifting temperatures and rain expected

Latvia is expected to experience shifting weather patterns in the coming week. Initially, an anticyclone will bring high atmospheric pressure, resulting in dry, sunny days and cool nights. Temperatures during the early part of the week are forecast to drop to between -1 and +4 degrees Celsius in many areas, though the Kurzeme coast will remain warmer at +5 to +8 degrees. Fog is also expected in parts of Kurzeme during the night.

From mid-week, weather conditions will change as precipitation zones cross the country. This shift will bring rain and increased wind speeds, with gusts reaching 15-16 m/s in the east and along the coast. Temperatures are expected to rise during this period, with daytime highs reaching +11 to +15 degrees. By the end of the week, further rain and gusty winds are anticipated, with Thursday projected to be the warmest day, reaching temperatures between +15 and +17 degrees.
