Latvia's Digital Health Center to launch new e‑Health portal by autumn

Latvia's Digital Health Center (LDVC) announced that a new e‑Health portal will replace the current system and become available to residents by the end of summer or early autumn. A prototype of the portal is already online at www.teste.lv, where citizens can test the interface and submit feedback.

The upcoming portal will be mobile‑friendly and will provide personalized information on doctor appointments, prescriptions, preventive examinations and other health‑related events. The LDVC stressed that the new "Insurance Status" section on the current portal is informational only and does not affect access to health services. Enhancements to security, regulatory compliance and core functionality are being prioritised in the existing system while broader user‑interface improvements are slated for the new launch.
