Latvia's Upcoming Jāņi and Līgo Day Weather Forecast

A new forecast from Latvia’s Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre projects sunny and warm conditions on Saturday across the country, with daytime temperatures reaching 24‑28 °C and night lows around 8‑14 °C. A light wind from the south‑south‑west will keep conditions mild.

Sunday, the longest day of the year, is expected to bring intermittent rain and isolated thunderstorms, especially inland, with temperatures climbing to a maximum of 23‑28 °C and falling to 13‑19 °C at night. Coastal areas may stay a few degrees cooler. Monday should return to dry, sunny weather with moderate north‑west winds and daytime highs of 20‑25 °C.

The forecast also notes that Līgo Day (June 23) will largely remain dry and warm, while the Jāņi night will see increased chances of rain and possible thunder, with temperatures not expected to exceed 18‑23 °C.
