Laura Dahlmeier’s 2025 Laila Peak accident detailed in new documentary
Former biathlon champion Laura Dahlmeier died on 28 July 2025 while abseiling the Laila Peak in Pakistan’s Karakoram range at roughly 5 700 m. A falling rock struck her, killing her instantly; her climbing partner Marina Krauss survived and called for rescue.
