Laurez Moreira proposes regional hospital and data-driven management in Tocantins

Tocantins gubernatorial candidate Laurez Moreira (PSD) has announced plans to construct a medium-complexity regional hospital in Colinas do Tocantins. The proposed facility is expected to feature approximately 115 beds and provide services including a 24-hour emergency room, surgical and obstetric centers, intensive care units (adult, pediatric, and neonatal), and diagnostic imaging. The initiative aims to decentralize healthcare services and reduce the burden on the hospital network in Araguaína by providing specialized care closer to residents in the north-central region.

Additionally, Moreira met with representatives from various federal agencies in Palmas, including Ibama, IBGE, and the Federal Revenue Service, to advocate for data-driven public management. He proposed a strategic planning model focused on clear goals, performance indicators, and continuous monitoring of public policies to ensure efficient resource allocation and evidence-based decision-making.
