Lava International launches budget Virat V1 smartphones in India

Lava International unveiled two new budget smartphones, the Lava Virat V1 5G and the Lava Virat V1 4G, targeting students, young professionals and cost‑conscious buyers. Both devices will be sold exclusively on Flipkart and Lava’s official website starting July 31.

The Virat V1 5G is priced at ₹11,999 (launch) and features a 6.75‑inch HD+ display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a UNISOC T8200 processor, 4 GB RAM (plus 4 GB virtual RAM), 64 GB internal storage, a 6000 mAh battery and runs Android 16. The 4G variant costs ₹8,999 (launch), has a 90 Hz display, a UNISOC SC9863A chipset, the same RAM and storage configuration, a 5000 mAh battery and runs Android 15 Go Edition. Both phones include a 13 MP dual rear camera, a 5 MP front camera, IP64 dust‑and‑splash protection and ship with a 10 W charger.

Lava also offers a “Free Service @ Home” program, whereby technicians will repair the devices at the customer’s residence if needed.
