Lavender festivals launch in Didim and Karatay, Turkey

Didim Municipality opened the Lavender & Aromatherapy Festival on July 4‑5 with local officials, cultural leaders and a concert by Suzan Kardeş. The mayor highlighted that festivals let cities showcase their culture, nature and production, saying, "Festivals are one of the ways cities can tell their own story." Free shuttle buses were provided to transport visitors to the event sites.

Karatay Municipality is hosting its fifth Karatay Lavender Days from July 3‑5, offering a free shuttle service from the city centre to the lavender gardens. The three‑day program includes concerts, children's theatre, illusion shows, open‑air cinema and various workshops, aiming to attract visitors of all ages.

Both festivals feature free transport, live music, workshops and aromatherapy activities to promote local tourism and cultural heritage in Turkey.
