Laver Cup 2026 to be held at London's O2 Arena

The ninth edition of the Laver Cup is scheduled to take place from September 25 to 27, 2026, at the O2 Arena in London. The tournament features a team-based format pitting Team Europe against Team World.

Team Europe is captained by Yannick Noah and includes players such as Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, Flavio Cobolli, Casper Ruud, Jakub Mensik, and Rafael Jodar. Team World is led by Andre Agassi and features Alex de Minaur, Taylor Fritz, Alexander Bublik, Learner Tien, Brandon Nakashima, and Francisco Cerundolo.

The competition follows a specific scoring system where victories on the first day are worth one point, two points on the second day, and three points on the final day. The first team to reach 13 points wins the trophy. If the score is tied at 12-12, a decisive single-set doubles match will determine the champion.

In recent commentary, Team Europe captain Yannick Noah expressed criticism regarding the current format of the Davis Cup, suggesting it lacks the historical spirit and player participation of previous eras.
