2026 Laver Cup tennis tournament

Overview

The 2026 Laver Cup was held at London’s O2 Arena from September 25 to 27. The tournament featured a team-based competition between Team Europe, captained by Yannick Noah, and Team World, led by Andre Agassi.

Team Europe secured its sixth title with a final score of 13-5 against Team World. The victory was finalized on the last day when Alexander Zverev defeated Learner Tien 7-6, 6-3 in straight sets. Zverev’s performance set a new record with eight singles victories in the event; following the tournament, he expressed gratitude to his teammates for their confidence despite earlier setbacks.

Other notable performances included undefeated runs by Carlos Alcaraz and Casper Ruud, alongside a doubles win by Flavio Cobolli and Jakub Mensik. The tournament featured a total prize pool of $1.5 million, with each member of the winning European team receiving $250,000.

Following the event, discussions have turned to the ATP rankings, with Zverev positioned to potentially challenge Jannik Sinner for the world number one spot in October, depending on his performance in upcoming Asian tournaments.
