Law enforcement agencies conduct community outreach in Colombia and Bolivia

Law enforcement agencies in Colombia and Bolivia have conducted community-focused initiatives aimed at strengthening ties with citizens and preventing crime.

In Colombia, the National Police participated in the 'Fiesta del Tendero' at the El Chaparral farm. Approximately 2,000 people attended the event, where officers provided guidance on security, citizen coexistence, and self-protection measures. Colonel Diego Fernando Pinzón Poveda, commander of the Bolívar Police Department, emphasized that shopkeepers are strategic allies for security and community stability.

In Montero, Bolivia, ten members of the Special Force to Fight Drug Trafficking (Felcn) were recognized by the Municipal Council for their preventive work in schools. The initiative focuses on educating children and youth about the risks of drug consumption. According to Councilwoman Adela Ortiz, Felcn training brigades have reached approximately 70% of the municipality's educational units this year, contributing to a reported reduction in drug-related cases in these settings.
