Law enforcement agencies report major drug seizures in Mexico and Bolivia

Law enforcement agencies in Mexico and Bolivia have reported significant drug seizures in recent operations. In Chihuahua, Mexico, the Specialized Unit for the Investigation of Drug Trafficking Crimes (FDZC) announced the seizure of narcotics valued at over 6.7 million pesos between 2025 and 2026. The seizures included large quantities of marijuana, methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin. Authorities noted a 30 percent increase in arrests for health-related crimes compared to the previous year.

In Oruro, Bolivia, the Special Force to Fight Against Drug Trafficking (FELCN) intercepted a shipment on the Oruro–Pisiga route. The operation resulted in the seizure of 88 kilograms of cocaine and 200 bottles of ketamine, with an estimated value exceeding 190,000 USD. Three individuals were apprehended during the intervention, which involved discovering a secret compartment hidden within a truck's chassis.
