Lawson and Montaure roll out limited‑edition Japanese sweets featuring regional ingredients

Lawson began selling a two‑layer dessert called “Tokushima Sangyo Kanazawa Kenrokuan Milk Azuki” on 21 July 2026. The product combines a smooth milk‑pudding base with a sweet azuki‑bean layer, is priced at ¥228, and is marketed as a low‑calorie, premium‑style confection.

From 3 August 2026, snack maker Montaure will offer two new limited‑time treats in supermarkets and drugstores nationwide: “JA Kanazawa City Yaki‑imo Karinto,” a sweet‑spiced crunch made with powdered Goro‑shima Kintoki sweet potato and sold for ¥270, and “JA Kanazawa City Yaki‑imo Baum,” an eight‑piece baumkuchen using the same sweet‑potato powder and priced at ¥400. Both products are collaborative releases with local producers—Kanazawa Kenrokuan and the JA Kanazawa City agricultural cooperative.
