Lawyer Angela Mulwa re-arrested in Dr. Victoria Mutiso murder probe

Lawyer Angela Mulwa has been re-arrested by homicide detectives in connection with the murder of her step-mother, Dr. Victoria Mutiso. Her re-arrest occurred shortly after she and Nelson Masiga, a former Nairobi County Assembly member, were released on a Sh1 million bond.

The initial bond release followed investigations into the theft of a Range Rover from a disputed 21-acre parcel of land in Mlolongo, an incident linked to the Dr. Mutiso murder probe. The vehicle was recovered at one of Mulwa’s properties in Karen.

Mulwa’s mother, Rose Mbithe, and her brother, Chris, also remain in custody regarding the murder investigation. The case involves a dispute over family property following the divorce of Prof. David Ndetei and Dr. Mutiso. The prosecution had previously opposed the bond application, citing the high value of the disputed property, which is estimated to be worth over Ksh. 900 million.
