Matheus Mayer Milanez faces protective orders over domestic violence accusations

The Court of Justice of the Federal District and Territories (TJDFT) has issued urgent protective measures against lawyer Matheus Mayer Milanez. Milanez, who gained national prominence defending General Augusto Heleno in Supreme Federal Court proceedings and is currently a candidate for Federal Deputy for the Republicanos party, is accused of domestic violence by his ex-partner.

The victim, who is ten weeks pregnant, reported three separate incidents of physical and verbal aggression occurring between December 2025 and August 2026. According to court documents, the incidents include an episode where the victim was allegedly pushed to the ground and another where she was pushed against a sofa, resulting in bruising. The most recent allegation involves an incident on August 2, where the victim claims she was pushed and forced to leave their residence.

Judge Carlos Bismarck Piske de Azevedo Barbosa ordered Milanez to maintain a minimum distance of 300 meters from the victim and prohibited all forms of contact, including telephone, WhatsApp, social media, and email. The judge noted that “the victim's word has great relevance at this procedural moment.”

Milanez has categorically denied all allegations of aggression, stating that the claims do not correspond to the reality of the facts and lack proper context. He expressed his intention to clarify the matter through the legal process.
