Facundo Moyano and Candela Arizaga seek to lift restraining order

Facundo Moyano and Candela Arizaga have both requested that the judiciary lift a restraining order that prohibits Moyano from approaching or contacting Arizaga. The legal proceedings follow an incident on August 4 in the Belgrano neighborhood of Buenos Aires, which led to Moyano being charged with alleged minor injuries and unlawful deprivation of liberty within a context of gender violence.

Arizaga has stated in testimonies that she was not a victim of physical or psychological violence and expressed her desire to restore their emotional bond. Her legal team argues that the original circumstances justifying the preventive measures no longer exist and that there is no concrete risk to her safety.

Investigators recently examined security footage from the Aira Apart Hotel in Buenos Aires to determine if the couple had violated the 300-meter restriction. While Moyano was confirmed to have stayed at the hotel, the Public Prosecutor's Office reported that they could not find evidence or footage placing Arizaga at the establishment during his stay, meaning no violation of the order was confirmed through those specific records.
