Lazio agricultural leaders meet with regional councilor Daniele Leodori
Leaders from Confeuro (Confederation of European Farmers) and Accademia Iniziativa Comune met with Daniele Leodori, a regional councilor and secretary of the Democratic Party in Lazio, in Rome to discuss the current state and future prospects of the agricultural sector.
The discussions focused on the health of the primary sector, proposals to encourage youth entrepreneurship in agriculture, and the necessity of generational renewal in the Lazio countryside. Specific attention was given to the agricultural situation in Rome—noted as the largest agricultural municipality in Europe—as well as the provinces of Frosinone, Viterbo, Rieti, and Latina.
Additional topics included social aspects of the territory, such as community protection, migration policies, vocational training, and labor integration within the agricultural industry. The organizations expressed a commitment to collaborating with local administrations to promote sustainable development, innovation, and inclusion to support small and medium-sized farmers.
