Lazio appoints new president of special‑license medical‑legal commission

The President of the Lazio region signed a decree appointing a new president of the medical‑legal commission that evaluates special driving licences. The appointment follows the resignation of the previous commissioner on 30 June, which had halted the commission’s work and forced many licence‑seeking citizens, especially those with disabilities, to travel to Rome for examinations.

The new president is expected to reactivate the commission’s activities for the ASL RM4 area, allowing renewal visits to be carried out locally and relieving the reported difficulties for disabled drivers and their families.
